NCEA Level 1 Spanish
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: José Torres Torija Cubillas.
Spanish is the language that unlocks communication opportunities in over 20 different countries around the world. The Level 1 Spanish course is all about gaining more freedom with the language so that you become confident in talking about the things that YOU want to talk about. Got a Spanish football star that you really love? A musician who you can’t get enough of? A hobby that you are devoted to? Then Level 1 Spanish will set you up for communicating about the things you are passionate about. Cultural competence is also an important part of the Level 1 course, so experiencing the food, dance, music, festivals and film of Spanish-speaking countries is included in your studies this year. If you are thinking of going traveling later in life or working overseas, Spanish helps open up the doors to those opportunities.
