NCEA Level 2 Art Design
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Rogan James.
NCEA Level 2 Visual Art: Design
At Level 2 you can select two Visual Art subjects.
In Level 2 Design, we will teach you the design process to help you investigate ideas, critically analyse, and expand your visual problem-solving skills.
We will help prepare you for an increasingly Visual Commercial world by teaching you skills in Marketing, Promotion and Brand Identity.
Your digital literacy skills will progress through the use of the Adobe Creative Suite software and we will develop your knowledge and awareness of historical and contemporary design practice.
You will explore your work initially through drawings, combining typography and images together to create different design outcomes.
You will then build upon this to complete a body of work around a Festival design brief for your external Design folio board.
