NCEA Level 2 English
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Tim Nicholson.
There are two English courses: 02ENA (Academic) and 02ENG (General). Placement in the courses will depend on the grades you achieve in Level 1 English.
In these courses, we will continue to develop English skills from previous years and explore how and why writers and directors communicate their messages the way they do.
This will relate to the development of characters, themes, relationships, conflicts and more.
We will also continue to develop the ability to express ideas and understanding of texts in a variety of ways.
Both courses use written texts as guides to assist with this. Visual texts also play an important role in the 02ENA course.
