NCEA Level 3 Media Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Brent Ericson.
In Level 3 Media Studies we will critically examine the role of the media in shaping our lives and how this influences the lives and perceptions of others.
The course will also explore the influence of society on media.
Students will examine the documentary and TV sitcom genres. Students will plan and produce a documentary, and learn about the influence of TV sitcoms on society.

Recommended Prior Learning
You should have at least 14 credits in Level 2 Media Studies, OR approval at the discretion of the Teacher in Charge of Media Studies, based on your Level 2 results.
