Course Description

This Year 9 course is all about starting to use Spanish in a fun and interactive way. Learn how to introduce yourself to Spanish-speakers and tell them about your family and hobbies. Experience Latino culture by trying food from Spanish-speaking countries. Discover amazing festivals and customs that may be very different from your own.
If you are thinking of going travelling later in life or working overseas, Spanish is the language that unlocks those opportunities in over 20 different countries in the world.
COURSE LENGTH: Half Year (One Semester)
MAKING YOUR LANGUAGE CHOICES
- All Year 9 students are required to choose a language other than English as one of their FOUR half-year options.
- Year 9 students need to rank their language course choices in order of preference.
- Green Bay High School will try to accommodate first preferences where possible, but due to timetable, resourcing and staff constraints other preferences may be necessary.
Course Costs
This Course Contribution covers the cost of ingredients for food sampling in class, as well as materials for making piñatas, and fiesta celebrations.
