Course Description

In Year 10 Japanese you will become more confident with the Hiragana script and learn Katakana and some more Kanji.
The course is focused on YOU! Would you like to be able to introduce yourself, your family and your friends? Would you like to talk about your daily life, your school, your hobbies and
spare-time activities? Would you like to go shopping or talk about food in a restaurant with a Japanese friend? Then this course is for you.
In this full-year course you will learn how to understand, speak, read and write more Japanese. You will learn how to understand and construct simple texts using your knowledge of Japanese to describe aspects of your own background and immediate environment.
We will cover Japanese phrases you might find handy if you were to go to the EXPO 2025 in Osaka.
This course prepares you for NCEA Level 1 Japanese.
