Course Description

Understanding the impact of our food choices on our wellbeing is essential for life.

In this course, you will study basic nutrition and learn to make nutritious food choices.

While working individually, in pairs or in groups, you will learn to use kitchen equipment safely, prepare food in a hygienic manner, use a range of cooking methods to prepare a wide variety of foods, and be able to express your creativity and individuality through creating your own food product.

We will develop many skills that employers are looking for. These include the ability to work in teams, good communication skills, resilience, good self-management skills, and thinking skills.

All assessments are theory and practical based.
