Course Description

The purpose of this course is for students to gain skills and standards that align with the New Zealand Certificate in Computing Level 2 (Foundation User).
The aim of the programme is to provide students with a range of digital technology foundation skills, so that they can be employed in a range of entry-level roles or proceed to further IT-related study.
Students will be able to use the main features, functions and settings of a range of common digital devices and software (word processing, spreadsheets) to create, access, organise, present and store information and data relevant to the context.
They will use the internet and common digital devices and a range of communication and collaboration application software to connect with other users and devices, recognising ethical responsibilities and applying conventions of online etiquette.
