Conducting a critical inquiry involves, deciding on an inquiry focus, developing specific inquiry questions, undertaking research to gather background information and ideas, analysing gathered information, proposing a digital technologies outcome, explaining relevant risks and reporting on the findings of the research.
Using complex techniques to develop a digital media outcome like a website involves applying user experience principles, data integrity and testing procedures. While using complex techniques to develop a database involves designing the structure of the data, as well as using appropriate tools and techniques to organise, query and present data. Presenting a reflective analysis involves explaining how the digital outcome like the website was created and linking the characteristics of the outcome to decisions that were made in the development process.
