Year 10 Literacy
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Heather Eccles.
This course is designed to accelerate learning in Literacy for students who require additional support and/or are currently achieving just below the expected National Curriculum Level. It focuses on explicit teaching of punctuation, parts of speech, sentence and paragraph structure, and the process of writing. Students in this class are motivated to work towards improving their writing skills. This class will provide additional preparation for sitting the NCEA Literacy Common Assessment Activity. Students may or may not have taken the Year 9 Literacy class.
