NCEA Level 2 Geography
Course Description

In Level 2 Geography we will explore geographic topics at a global and regional scale.
We will learn about the natural processes which have created the Tongariro volcanic landscape, including visiting the region to conduct geographic research.
In addition, we will also be learning about global patterns of maritime piracy, and the issues around how New Zealand will become predator free by 2050.
Your understanding and application of the geographic concepts of perspectives, change, interaction, sustainability, patterns and processes will be developed across the year.
Recommended Prior Learning
You should have at least 14 credits in Level 1 Geography, OR an interest in the course and the approval of the Head of Department of Social Sciences.
